This facet is a technical tool for a perfumer. Aldehyde exalts a perfume. The Aldehyde are mainly linked to floral notes. It was the creation of Chanel N°5 which made the aldehyde facet so important in the world of perfumery. It is only synthetic fragrant molecule. Olfactively, those molecules evoke a very fresh note.
